Bottom Line Spiritual Counseling
Richard Porter has been counseling clients for over twenty-five years. His unique approach to wholeness, combined with an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the connection/interaction of the Body, Mind, and Spirit, enables his clients to quickly experience profound realizations and results.
Clients come seeking clarity, understanding, and completion, in their work, family, and personal relationships with their Self and others. His clients are seeking to recognize how to have more self-loving and supportive relationships, sometimes this means making changes, sometimes major transformations need to occur, and sometimes it means moving on to a new more nurturing relationship.
Clients are
assisted in recognizing, what they want in their relationships and discovering
whether or not anyone is interested, willing, and able, to meet their needs in
relationships. Often clients realize that they have been making choices out of
habit rather than from a conscious desire to be happy and self-loving. These
patterns of behavior seem like "the way life is," even when it is not
what is wanted. These patterns are familiar; since they are what we are used to
doing in our lives. These non-conscious habits eventually become the patterns
of living that define our life. Sometimes, these patterns allow us to feel
comfortable, and, at other times these patterns make it seem as though we
never can get what we want, or be happy with what we have.
Healing Gateways Center is a nurturing environment, in which clients feel empowered to discover fresh in-sights and new options, and to feel more confident in making Self-loving choices. Clients engage in a dialog where they quickly get clear about the sources of their problems, such as: limiting patterns of behavior, non-self-loving choices, and inability to express and/or release feelings of anger, fear, and sadness. During this dialogue clients discover simple ways to change or eliminate the circumstances causing their problems. When a person is more aware of their options and resources, it is easier to choose what is wanted in relationships and in their life. Clients are able to begin to separate "needs and expectations" from "capacity and agreements" making changes in their lives from what they don't want, to what they do want in their life, so as to produce recognizable, sustainable, and dependable loving experiences. This newly realized power of self-awareness, self-confidence, and choice.
